I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Strata. Not only does the revamped "motel" feature a number of thoughtful enhancements, but the staff is extremely friendly and focused on making sure you have a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Mountain View.

I'm actually staying at Strata for years already whenever I'm in the bay area. It's close to the Stevens Creek trail for running/walking, there's a Starbucks nearby if you'd want breakfast at 5am (Jetlag) and it's not too far off from Castro either. The hotel offers a shuttle to the Google Campus in the morning which is convenient but otherwise it's also only about an hour of walking there along the trail. Service is super friendly and rooms are good. There's a coffee machine in each room which is a nice plus in the mornings for me.
