What should I bring into California's Great America?
Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses as it tends to get sunny at California's Great America, but a jacket or sweater is a good idea too for evenings and weather changes in the Bay Area especially in late fall and winter. The park suggests wearing comfortable shoes and cotton clothing that dries fast. All backpacks are purses will be scanned, and chairs, glass, speakers and all weapons are prohibited. -
What are the best things to do at Great America?
Great America is a classic family theme park with the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Northern California, like The Grizzly, Flight Deck and Demon. Enjoy thrill rides like Delirium, as well as family rides such as the beautiful carousel and Rip Roaring Rapids. Little ones will enjoy Planet Snoopy and KidZville. Enjoy wet and wild adventures at Boomerang Bay Water Park and musical shows like Charlie Brown's Happy Campers. Halloween is a special time at Great America, with Snoopy’s Costume Party and the Halloween Haunt, when rides and entertainment take a ghoulish turn. Don't miss the park's festive seasonal events like the Independence Day Fireworks. -
Can I bring water into Great America?
Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the park, except for baby formula and for those guests with special dietary restrictions. California's Great America park has several restaurants, food stands and casual places to eat and drink that offer bottled water. -
How much is parking at Great America?
Parking is $25 per vehicle ($20 pre-purchased online) and $30 for preferred parking ($25 pre-purchased online). RV parking is $27. The park also offers limited handicap parking spaces near the front gate on a first-come, first-served basis. School and tour buses may park for free. There’s a drop-off area just past the entrance on Great America Parkway.
