Class Time/Dates: Thursday, August 22, 6pm - 10 pmFriday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, 10am - 5pm; Sunday, August 25, 2pm - 5pmPerformance showcase: Sunday, August 25, 6pm-8pmClass size: 14 students maximumClass length: 19 hours of instructionPrerequisite: Foundation 3 and above.   For students who have done some shortform and now want to dip their toes into the deep waters of longform! Learn the ins and outs of longform in this class designed for the improviser who is new to creating longer narratives. This class promises to be fun and engaging while introducing the skills you need to create a dynamic story as an ensemble. Some of what we'll explore: Learn theatrical techniques like Meisner and apply them to improv. Develop deeper characters and sustain them in a longer narrative. Use genre to make the stories specific and compelling. Work with long time pros Zoe and John to tap into your storytelling skills. The class culminates in a showcase demonstrating the broad array of skills necessary for a LongForm Narrative.   BATS Improv Class Refund Policy: Summer Youth and Adult Sessions cancellation policy: If you cancel more than 14 days (2 weeks) before your first class, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee. If you cancel within 14 days (2 weeks) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit. Why so far in advance for summer? These classes are the most dramatically affected by last-minute vacations and changing plans, and we need to ensure that they can successfully run for all students who have enrolled! Regular Class cancellation policy: If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.  If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit.
